Project EQUAL: We Are Family…
We know how essential it is for every individual to belong – whether it be in partnership, in our families of origin, in our families of choice, in our community, or in our society. We also know that a sense of belonging can be very elusive, and it is hard-won for LGBTQ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Questioning) individuals in our current social climate. Project EQUAL (Enhancing Queer Understanding And Love) was proudly created to increase that sense of belonging and community. We are, quite literally, “family.” Many of our therapists’ understanding of LGBTQ issues come not just from extensive training, but from their queer identities and backgrounds. In a broader sense, “we are family” by way of our agency’s reputation as the relationship experts in town. Bottom line, we are committed to enhancing the lives and strengthening the ties among all individuals and families, and we celebrate your diversity!
