Samaritan Counseling Centers (SCC) was founded in October 1983, as a non-profit organization by a small group of concerned men and women at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Portland, Oregon. SCC is lead by a volunteer board. Our mission is to promote psychological and spiritual health and wholeness through accessible, highly competent counseling, education and skill-building services.

SCC is a state certified mental health agency. The Center is also accredited nationally with the American Association of Pastoral Counselors and the Samaritan Institute.

SCC's staff members are highly qualified mental health professionals who place significant value on the spiritual experience of every client. They are fully trained to listen, empathize, and guide the healing process thereby giving the client the tools to use in recovering a sense of wholeness.

Our administrative office is open 8:00am - 7:00pm Monday - Friday.
Counseling sessions can be scheduled during the day, evening and on Saturday by appointment only.
